While there is plenty of shade throughout the park, just keep in mind that the slides are metal, which can get pretty hot through the Florida summers.

This huge park contains a baseball diamond, a bike trail, a basketball court, a disc golf course, and a skate park. The playground features plastic equipment that will keep kids ages 2-7 occupied. This area is also surrounded by trees, offering plenty of shade.
Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park

Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park offers a little bit of everything, including camping, hiking, and playgrounds in Jacksonville, FL. There is a small fee to enter the park, but it’s well worth it for hours of fun!

South Beach Park & Sunshine Playground is my favorite destination, no matter the weather. During the summer, they open up the splash pad so kids of all ages can keep cool. There are two pickleball courts, a basketball court, a tennis court, and three sand volleyball courts. The wooden playground is the perfect spot for kids from ages 2-10 to run around as they tap into their imagination.
