There are YMCA locations all across the Jacksonville area that offer a pool you can use whenever the thermometer goes up. You can come in and enjoy some free swim time so your family can get some exercise without breaking too much of a sweat. They also offer classes, including aqua yoga, swim lessons, and walking lanes. While they have open hours for the entire community, you can catch smaller crowds during their members-only swim times.

Julius Guinyard Park and Pool

Once known as Blodgett Homes Pool, Julius Guinyard has been a staple in the community for over 70 years. This property contains one of the oldest pools in the entire city of Jacksonville. You will have a large pool where you can swim laps or splash around throughout the summertime. If the pool proves to be a little too overwhelming for your family, you can head over to the splash pad, where you can kick back while your kiddo runs through the fountains. They also have playgrounds, sports courts, and other activities your family can enjoy throughout the entire year.

Cecil Recreation Complex

The Cecil Recreation Complex has been a Jacksonville family-favorite pool destination for decades. This center was originally built in 2000 and has only improved since first opening its doors. Eventually, the city plans to turn this into a 1,500-acre plot where you can have an outlet for pretty much any hobby. They currently have an equestrian center, an 18-hole golf course, several sports courts, and fishing docks. The aquatics center features an Olympic-sized pool as well as a family/exercise pool. These pools are indoor and heated, so you can go no matter the outside weather. They also offer lessons for swimmers of all ages.
